Mansoureh Khojasteh, the wife of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has died from injuries sustained during an attack that also claimed her husband’s life.
Iranian state television announced her death on the night of March 2, 2026.

According to the broadcaster, Khojasteh, 78, was critically wounded during airstrikes carried out by the United States and Israel on February 28, 2026, targeting her residence. The attack reportedly killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei at the scene.

She was rushed for medical treatment but fell into a coma shortly after the strike. She remained unconscious until her death, state media reported.
Mansoureh Khojasteh married Ali Khamenei in 1964, and the couple had been together for more than six decades.

The developments come amid escalating hostilities between the United States and Iran, which began late last week. The conflict has since expanded beyond the two countries, with clashes spreading to parts of the Middle East involving regional actors aligned with either Washington or Tehran.
Further details surrounding the strike and its broader regional implications remain limited.
