Iran Denies Talks with US, Calls Trump’s Claims ‘Self-Delusion’

Iran has dismissed claims by the United States that the two countries are engaged in negotiations, insisting that no form of dialogue is taking place.

Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, stated clearly that there have been neither direct nor indirect talks between Iran and the United States.

This comes after US President Donald Trump recently said his administration was in contact with key figures in Iran who were interested in negotiations.

However, the spokesperson of Iran’s armed forces, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, rejected those remarks, saying the United States is “talking to itself” and not engaging Iran in any real discussions.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has expressed willingness to facilitate potential dialogue. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif posted on X on March 24 that his country is ready to host talks between Washington and Tehran if both sides agree.

Despite the denial, Moghadam acknowledged that some friendly nations are interested in creating a platform that could eventually bring Iran and the US together for discussions, expressing hope that such efforts may yield positive results in the future.
