U.S. President Donald Trump has suggested that Cuba could be the next target of U.S. military action, though he did not provide details about any planned operation.

Trump made the remarks during the Saudi Investment Conference, where he spoke about the strength of the American military. He said he had built a powerful military force that is not always used, but sometimes must be deployed.

“Sometimes you don’t need to use it, but occasionally you have to. And Cuba is next. But pretend I didn’t say that,” Trump said during his speech.

Earlier this year, the United States reportedly launched a military operation in Venezuela that resulted in the arrest of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife.

In another major development, the U.S. carried out strikes against Iran on February 28, 2026. The operation targeted the leadership of the Iranian government, and Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was reportedly killed during the attack along with several senior officials.

Trump’s comments about Cuba have raised questions about whether Washington could expand its military operations further in the region.
