Iran has warned that it will launch further attacks on artificial intelligence data centers in the Middle East if the United States follows through on its recent threats.

Iran’s military released footage showing what it described as a strike targeting infrastructure linked to the Stargate AI infrastructure project in the United Arab Emirates.

Stargate is a global AI infrastructure initiative valued at more than $500 billion, announced in January 2025 through a partnership between OpenAI, SoftBank and Oracle Corporation. The project aims to build large-scale artificial intelligence data centers across different parts of the world.

Iranian missiles have also recently targeted data centers belonging to Amazon Web Services in Bahrain and facilities linked to Oracle in Dubai.

The warning from Tehran comes as a response to statements by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, who recently threatened to strike civilian infrastructure in Iran, including electricity and water facilities, if Iran does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz before Tuesday.

The strategic waterway has reportedly remained closed since fighting escalated in February, disrupting global shipping routes and affecting international trade.

Iran has also issued warnings to other major American technology companies, saying operations linked to Nvidia and Apple Inc. could also become targets in the region.
