Innocent Nshuti, striker for Rwanda’s national team Rwanda national football team (Amavubi) and Libya’s Wedfaq Ajdabiya, has proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Uwase Nice, after several years of dating.

The footballer shared the news through a video posted on his social media platforms in the early hours of April 5, 2026, showing the moment he put a ring on his partner’s finger and asked her to marry him.

In a message expressing his love, Nshuti wrote that he was grateful that God had chosen them for each other.

“I am happy that God chose one for the other,” he said.

To further express his affection, the striker also referenced a biblical message, noting that every good and perfect gift comes from above.

Nshuti and Uwase Nice have been in a relationship for several years and have often shared moments of their love on social media.

The engagement comes shortly after the striker returned from international duty with Amavubi during the FIFA Series 2026 matches.

Nshuti began his football career at Intare FC at the age of 14 before being promoted to APR FC in 2015.

In 2018 he moved to Tunisia to join Stade Tunisien but returned to APR FC a year later.

He later left APR again in 2024 to sign for One Knoxville SC in the United States before transferring in early 2025 to Sabail FK in Azerbaijan.

After a short spell, he moved to ES Zarzis and later joined Wedfaq Ajdabiya in Libya in January 2026, where he currently plays.

Nshuti is widely regarded as one of the disciplined and influential players in the Amavubi squad and has maintained a reputation for professionalism both on and off the pitch.
