Ben and Chance say working as a couple has brought growth ahead of ‘Easter Jubilee’ concert
A press conference was held on the afternoon of Friday, April 3, 2026, to discuss the upcoming ‘Easter Jubilee’ concert by Rwandan gospel artists Ben and Chance.
The event brought together the duo themselves, as well as fellow gospel artists who will perform during the concert, including Alicia and Germaine and Papi Clever and Dorcas. Partners involved in organizing the concert were also present, including BK Arena, Voxa Group, Samsung, Dove Hotel and others.
During the press conference, Ben and Chance were asked about the benefits of making music together as a married couple. They revealed that their greatest growth began after they started working together, something they said they share in common with Papi Clever and Dorcas.
Ben explained that their partnership has been a blessing both personally and professionally.
He said, “Chance is a blessing to me, and I am also a blessing to her. When we work together and see the final result, it becomes something special. If you remove one of us, I’m not sure the other could achieve the same result alone.”
He added that before their marriage he had released several songs that did not gain much success, but things changed once they began performing together.
“When we go on stage together, it feels natural because we understand each other. Sometimes we just look at each other and know exactly what the other means. It has helped us grow spiritually and strengthen our ministry,” he said.
Papi Clever and Dorcas share their experience
Gospel singer Papi Clever also shared his experience of working with his wife Dorcas, revealing that their collaboration significantly boosted their ministry.
He explained that before they started working together as a couple, his YouTube channel had about 15,000 subscribers. Within four months of collaborating, the number rose to 50,000 and has since surpassed one million subscribers.
“It helped me grow and gain recognition as a husband and as a minister. Even financially, our ministry has expanded,” he said.
Dorcas emphasized that building a strong marriage requires commitment and faith, describing marriage as a blessing from God.
“Marriage is a blessing that comes from God, and that is why God supports it. When you treat it with respect and recognize it as God’s plan, He blesses the couple even more than an individual,” she said.
She added that working together as a married couple has strengthened their spiritual life, deepened their love, and expanded their opportunities.
Papi Clever and Dorcas have built a strong reputation in gospel music both in Rwanda and internationally, with popular songs including “Ameniweka Hulu Kweli,” “Ni Heri Kuona Ndugu,” and “Mwokozi Wetu.” The couple has been married for six years and has four children.
Journey of Ben and Chance
Ben and Chance first met in 2011 when they were both members of Alarm Ministry. In 2014, they got married and officially began their music journey together as a gospel duo.
Over the years they have released several inspirational songs including “Zaburi Yanjye,” “Munda y’Ingumba,” “Igikombe Cyange,” and “Yesu Arakora.”
Tickets for the ‘Easter Jubilee’ concert are nearly sold out. Regular tickets cost 5,000 Rwandan francs, while VIP tickets are priced at 50,000 Rwandan francs.
Fans living outside Rwanda will also be able to watch the concert online through the Connekyt website, where access costs 10,000 Rwandan francs.
