Six U.S. service members who died in a drone strike by Iran on American bases in Kuwait were honored Saturday at Dover Air Force Base.

The remains of six U.S. service members killed at American bases in Kuwait were honored in a solemn ceremony at Dover Air Force Base on Saturday. Former President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, along with Vice President JD Vance, attended the event to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers.
The six service members died in a drone strike carried out by Iran on March 1, 2026, targeting U.S. military installations in Kuwait. The attack was reportedly in retaliation for previous U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran that began on February 28, 2026.

All six were part of the 103rd Brigade, responsible for delivering equipment and supplies to American forces across the Middle East. The victims include Sgt. Declan Coady, 20; Capt. Cody Khork, 35; Maj. Jeffrey O’Brien; Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert Marzan; Sgt. 1st Class Nicole Amor; and Sgt. 1st Class Noah Tietjens, 42.

The bases targeted were reinforced with concrete walls but lacked reinforced concrete ceilings capable of stopping missile strikes.

President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and Vice President JD Vance attended the ceremony to pay tribute. Trump warned that further casualties could come, saying: “I am prepared, even though I wish it weren’t so… but this is part of war.”
