The , in partnership with , has awarded certificates to 23 early childhood educators from various Early Childhood Development (ECD) centers they collaborate with across Rwanda.

The certification ceremony took place on March 25, 2026, in Kicukiro District, following the completion of specialized training focused on improving early childhood care and development services. The program aims to enhance the educators’ skills and enable them to deliver higher-quality learning and care to young children, while also sharing knowledge in other communities.

During the event, the Vice Chancellor of Mount Kigali University, , announced a contribution of Rwf 51 million to support the education of 100 secondary school students under the “Edified Generation” program.

This collaboration builds on ongoing efforts between the two institutions. In September 2025, they jointly launched an ECD center aimed at addressing child malnutrition, providing foundational education, and preventing children from ending up on the streets. The center initially enrolled 169 children under the age of five.

Since 2013, Imbuto Foundation has worked closely with the Government of Rwanda and development partners to promote early childhood development programs, playing a key role in expanding access to quality foundational education and improving the well-being of children under six.
