Iran’s elite military force, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has declared that its objective is to track down and kill Benjamin Netanyahu.
The threat was announced on Sunday morning through the IRGC’s official media outlet, Sepah News. In a statement, the group warned that it would continue pursuing Netanyahu if what it described as “crimes and killings” persist.
According to the statement, the IRGC vowed that it would keep hunting the Israeli leader and his forces, escalating tensions between Iran and Israel amid the ongoing conflict.
The declaration comes about three weeks after open hostilities erupted between Iran and Israel, with the United States backing Israel in the confrontation. The conflict has been fueled largely by accusations from Washington and Tel Aviv that Iran is attempting to develop nuclear weapons, an allegation Tehran strongly denies.
Recent U.S. strikes on Iran reportedly killed several senior Iranian officials, including the country’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, further intensifying the conflict.
Earlier this weekend, rumors circulated on social media claiming that Netanyahu had been killed, but the reports were quickly denied by his office.
The latest threat from the IRGC reflects the growing hostility between the two countries and raises fears of further escalation in a conflict that has already drawn international attention. Analysts warn that continued confrontations could deepen instability across the Middle East if diplomatic efforts fail to ease tensions.
