Title: Raphinha Out for 5 Weeks as Barcelona Worries Over Injury

FC Barcelona faces a major setback as forward Raphael Dias Belloli, known as Raphinha, is sidelined for five weeks following a muscle injury sustained while playing for Brazil.

The injury occurred on Thursday, March 26, 2026, during a friendly match between Brazil and France in the United States. Raphinha had to leave the pitch at the 46th minute, and Brazil eventually lost 2-1.

Medical examinations confirmed that Raphinha will miss the next nine matches, including two UEFA Champions League quarterfinal games against Atlético Madrid, as well as potential semifinals if Barcelona advances.

Barcelona’s management is concerned about tackling critical fixtures in both the Champions League and domestic league without one of their key attackers. Raphinha’s presence has been crucial for linking up with players like Lamine Yamal, creating numerous scoring opportunities.

Coach Hansi Flick is reportedly considering tactical adjustments, with Marcus Rashford potentially starting in Raphinha’s place, or alternatives such as Fermin Lopez or Dani Olmo filling the role.

This marks Raphinha’s third injury this season. He missed ten games in September 2025 due to a muscle issue, one game in February 2026 due to a foot injury, and now nine more games due to this latest muscle strain.

Despite injuries, Raphinha has had a strong season, scoring 18 goals and providing 5 assists in 29 appearances.

This injury adds pressure on Barcelona to adapt their attacking strategy as they pursue league and European honors.
