The Rwanda Muslim Community (RMC) has officially announced that the Eid al-Fitr celebrations marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan will be observed on Friday, March 20, 2026.

In a statement released by the organization’s leadership, Muslims across Rwanda have been invited to join in the national celebrations of this important religious holiday, which signifies the conclusion of fasting during Ramadan.

The main Eid prayer is scheduled to take place at Kigali Pele Stadium, located in Nyamirambo, starting at 6:00 AM. Worshippers are encouraged to arrive early and participate in the communal prayers that traditionally mark the beginning of Eid festivities.

The Mufti of Rwanda, Sheikh Sindayigaya Musa, conveyed warm wishes to the Muslim community, urging unity, peace, and gratitude during the celebrations.

Eid al-Fitr is one of the most significant holidays in Islam, celebrated with prayers, charity, and gatherings among families and communities.

The Rwanda Muslim Community also extended its best wishes to all Muslims in the country, calling for continued harmony and spiritual reflection beyond the holy month.
