The United States has drafted a 15-point proposal aimed at reaching an agreement with Iran to end the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, with key provisions targeting missile development, nuclear activities, and control of the Strait of Hormuz.

According to reports by The New York Times, the proposal was delivered to Iran through Pakistan, with the goal of paving the way for a ceasefire and broader negotiations.

Sources familiar with the plan told N12 News that Washington is prepared to declare a one-month ceasefire to allow time for discussions on the proposed agreement.

Among the key conditions in the draft deal are the dismantling of infrastructure linked to nuclear weapons development, a firm commitment by Iran to abandon nuclear ambitions, and the transfer of all enriched uranium outside the country.

The proposal also calls on Iran to halt support and arms supplies to armed groups in the region, as well as to recognize the Strait of Hormuz as an international waterway open to all.

US President Donald Trump said on March 24 that his administration is in contact with “key people” interested in reaching an agreement, emphasizing that there is strong willingness on the other side to sign a deal.

However, Iran has firmly rejected these claims. Iranian military officials insist that no negotiations are taking place with the United States, describing such statements as misleading.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has expressed readiness to facilitate potential talks, even as tensions remain high and uncertainty continues to surround diplomatic efforts to end the conflict.
